The 2013 Hunt Season
The 2013 Opening Meet will mark the 89th hunting season of the Fairfield County Hounds. Visit our website in the coming months for more information on the hunt season as well as spring and summer riding and clinic events. We will post the dates for roading and the cubbing season, as well as for Opening Day of the formal season, which is generally in early October, when the spectacular colors of the New England autumn are on grand display.
Fairfield continues to hunt until ice forms on the ground and the ponds, usually by the end of December, at which time the season is called by the Masters to protect hounds, horses, riders, and our beautiful country. Masters
